Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Augur, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

Description of Service

Augur is a text-based RPG boss encounter powered by AI. You interact with the game through natural language, and AI models process your actions and generate responses. The service is provided on an as-is basis.

User Accounts

You must create an account to use Augur. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Augur to:

• Generate illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Produce content that harasses, threatens, or incites violence against any person or group
• Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service or its AI systems
• Circumvent rate limits, abuse trial encounters, or otherwise misuse the service

Augur is powered by third-party AI model providers. Your use of Augur is also subject to the usage policies of these providers. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate provider policies, even if not explicitly listed above.

AI-Generated Content

All encounter narratives and Architect responses are generated by AI models. This content is not reviewed by a human before it reaches you. AI-generated content may be unpredictable, inaccurate, or occasionally produce mature themes in the context of gameplay. It should not be relied upon for factual information. Augur does not claim ownership of AI-generated content but reserves the right to display, curate, and feature public encounter content within the platform.

Public & Private Encounters

Encounters are private by default. You may mark an encounter as public at creation time. Public encounters and their full content — including your actions, AI-generated narrative, AI-generated images, and other associated media — are visible to other Augur users.

Content License

By marking an encounter as public, you grant Augur a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute the encounter content within the Augur platform. You retain ownership of your contributions.

No Expectation of Privacy for Public Encounters

Public encounter content may be viewed by other Augur users. Portions of public encounters may also be displayed to unauthenticated visitors for promotional or showcase purposes. You should not include personally identifying information in encounter actions you intend to make public.

Removal

Deleting your account removes all encounters, including public ones, from the platform.

Payment & Credits

Augur uses a pay-per-encounter model. You purchase credits in advance and spend them as you play. Costs vary by model, scenario, and encounter length. Your running cost is displayed in real time. Credits are non-refundable except as required by law.

Intellectual Property

Augur, its design, prompts, and game mechanics are the intellectual property of Cone Crows LLC. Your encounter transcripts are your own — you may share or publish them freely.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Augur is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including from AI-generated content. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for credits in the preceding 12 months.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Augur at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
